| Bio: | Name: Balam What world they came from: Original Character Birthday (if known): He was born, but hell if he knows his birthday - besides, he's a demon! Age: He's pretty old, but he looks like he's in his late twenties. Species: Fire demon. Occupation: He was...well, a servant to another, more powerful demon named Ronove, who in exchange for giving him a human body, would have to serve him for several decades. Appearance: Balam has unnaturally red hair - it's not auburn, it's not orange, it's a bright red that he tries to pretend is a dye-job, rather than his natural hair. His skin is warm to the touch, regardless of the weather, and he is naturally pretty tan. He looks like someone ready for a fight, with an athletic form and a pair of sharp eyes and a sharp nose, but he hides his eyes behind thick black sunglasses. The reason? While with the sunglasses on, what little can be seen of his eyes look normal, almost human, if a difficult-to-tell shade...his irises are an everchanging, ever aflame fire, and he has no pupils. His eyes make his currently human form unmistakeably...not, and for this reason he never removes his sunglasses. Generally he dresses in khakis, regardless of what he's wearing for a shirt, but he tends to favor vests or athletic shirts. Special abilities/talents: Surprisingly, Balam's one mundane talent is that he can cook. The rest of his abilities lie in his talent to control fire, though his temper can cause things around him to go aflame at times. He is a fire demon, and for that he has a lot of brute strength and raw fire-elemental power going for him. Quirks: Balam has a berserker-streak. If upset and angered enough, he has a tendency to see very little and attack very, very brutally. He also has a secret love of cooking, as it is the only non-destructive thing he's good at. Other than that...Balam is a somewhat gruff figure with an extremely short fuse, and while he often means well, he can be incredibly awkward. Personality: Like I said, Balam has an extremely short fuse! He actually loves humans and wishes he was one. Once he fell in love with a human woman, he found a way to get himself a more human form in a deal with Ronove. His fascination with humans continues to give him trouble, as he was born for violence. In the end, Balam has good intentions, but is a rather angry individual who has to fight his own nature to be calm and not bite. Reputation: Those who did not know his story hunted him down as yet another demon to kill. Those who did know his story often befriended him. The woman he loved still refuses to see him ever again. Background Information: Ask Balam! ...What I will say is that Balam has always been fascinated by humans, but at the same time he is cautious and somewhat bitter about them. In the end, he has a weakness and a desire to be human, and it is that that got him into this whole owing Ronove thing. When Lucifer learned of Balam, the idea to use him for Satan's cause took route. Either Balam will learn to be a true demon... ...Or he will suffer incredibly through his stubborn nature to reject his true self.
